The key to a healthy Autumn is through nourishing the lungs, replenishing vitality, and improving immunity! The following important acupoints can help the body strengthen lung function and improve immunity.
Dryness affects the lungs' functions significantly, causing symptoms such as dry mouth, dry lips, dry nose, dry throat, dry stools, dry skin, etc. How can we prevent these symptoms from happening? What are the simple effective ways to enjoy a healthy Autumn?
Lung Meridian Circulation:
Regulating the twelve meridians is just like having traffic free highways. The fundamental principle is to have enough vital energy in the body (qi and blood). Without suffcient qi provided by the lungs, the cars (body) are running low on fuel, since traffic is likely to happen on the “highways”. Therefore, the Lung Meridian should be the first to be cared for.
The Lung Meridian path starts from the lungs to the throat, goes under the armpit, along the inner side of the upper arm, before Hand Shaoyin and Hand Jueyin meridian, goes down to the elbow, along the inner radius edge of the forearm (in the direction of the thumb), and enter Cunkou (the place where the radial artery of the wrist pulsates, that is, the place where the pulse is treated in Chinese medicine), passes from the cunkou to the thenar area (the thicker muscles in the direction of the thumb of the palm, named because of the fish belly), extending along the edge of the thenar area On the radial end of the thumb.
The Lung Meridian is concentrated on the upper body, and are on both arms. There are a total of 22 acupuncture points. Simulating these acupuncture points are of great help to the maintenance lungs health.
Symptoms that can be eased by dredging the Lung Meridian:
The lung meridian is very closely related to the lungs, large intestine, throat, so the smooth flow of the lung meridian is essential! When the lung meridian is abnormally blocked, the human body will have the following issues:
- Visceral diseases: Abnormal qi in this meridian will cause symptoms such as chest tightness, coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, upset, and restlessness; and because the lungs communicate with the nose and mouth, there will also be symptoms such as nasal congestion, colds, runny nose, colds, and colds.
- Acupoints to regulate lung qi, relieve asthma and cough: Yunmen and Zhongfu points.
- Treatment of allergic rhinitis, chronic rhinitis, frequent nosebleeds, and other nose diseases, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic functions, such as skin often prone to allergies: Rub Tianfu Point
(1) Zhongfu Point
“Zhong” has the same pronunciation as “Zong”, and “Zhong” refers to Zong Qi, which is the qi of the spleen and lungs. The spleen and lungs combined are called Zong Qi. Insufficient qi is manifested as shortness of breath, weakness in stool, bloated stomach when eating, etc. Zhongfu Point can regulate the lack of qi.
Zhongfu point can help invigorate the spleen and treat abdominal digestion, shoulder pain. Zhongfu point is also the main point for the treatment of cough, asthma and tuberculosis.
In addition, people with cardiovascular diseases can also use the Tuiyunmen and Zhongfu points for conditioning. The muscles under the Zhongfu point are thin. It is recommended not to exert any effort in daily health care, but just apply a little force and knead for 1 to 2 minutes.
(2) Yunmen Point
On the lateral part of the chest, above the coracoid process of the scapula, 6 inches from the anterior midline. Yunmen Point is the second point of the Lung Meridian. There is a very simple way to find the Yunmen Point: with your hands on your hips and looking in the mirror, you can see a nest next to the collarbone of your shoulder. The center point of the nest is the Yunmen Point.
Stimulating Yunmen Point can help soothe breathing, calms the mind, releases sweaty feet and hands.
In addition, Yunmen point is also very effective in relieving cough and asthma, and also good at treating shoulder and arm pain and numbness, cervical lymph node inflammation and so on.
(3) Tianfu Point
It is located on the medial side of the arm, on the radial edge of the biceps, 3 inches below the head of the anterior axillary lines.
The greatest effect of this point is to cure rhinitis. Regardless of allergic rhinitis or chronic rhinitis, frequent massage of this point will significantly improve the symptoms of nasal congestion, runny nose and indistinct smell. In addition to rhinitis, Tianfu point can also help treat diseases such as nosebleeds, cough, wheezing, shoulder and arm pain.
(4) Taiyuan Point
On the radial side of the transverse striae on the palmar side of the wrist, the pulsation of the radial artery.
Taiyuan Point is the original point of the Taiyin Lung Meridian of the Hand, and is also called Maihui, because all the veins in the human body are under its control. The original point is like the master regulator of the meridians, massage it can promote the self-repair of the meridians.
When a condition occurs in the lungs, discomfort will first appear at the Taiyuan point, and you can infer the rise and fall of lung function through various changes at this point. Therefore, using this acupoint to replenish lung qi can effectively promote the return of lung qi in the meridian to replenish the deficiency of the lungs.
Many people’s lungs are inherently more fragile and sensitive than others. When the weather changes, they will have a hoarse voice and cough. If you also have this situation, you must properly nourish the Taiyuan point, the original point of the lung meridian.
In addition to respiratory problems, any swelling, pain, soreness, and inflexibility of joints that occur where the lung meridian passes can be relieved and treated by massaging the Taiyuan point.
Facial points (respiratory tract)
Quepen is one of the commonly used acupoints in the Stomach Meridian of Foot Yangming. It comes from “Suwen·Qifu”, also known as Tiangai.

In addition to balancing the moods, rashness, and agitation should also be avoided consciously.
Practicing meditation can also prevent the problem of decreased concentration and concentration due to impetuousness.
