Asian Health Documentary Series with Stanford Medicine and Hollywood.
Asian Postpartum Care - Traditional Chinese Medicinal Herbal Care - Healing After Giving Birth
Li Natural Healthcare is working with the Stanford Center for Asian Health Resource and Education (CARE), and the renowned Hollywood director Wayne Wang (The Joy Luck Club; Because of Winn-Dixie) to film a documentary series about pertinent topics in Asian health, in particular, Postpartum Care (sitting-the-moon). We are seeking individuals and families who would like to contribute to and appear on film in the documentary series. The successful volunteer(s) will be sharing their stories about the postpartum “sitting the moon” period, or other cultural practices related to the post-birth period. The project is led by Stanford CARE with the vision to raise awareness of how culture influences health, particularly in post-partum care among Asian and Asian American communities. The objectives are:
- To compare and contrast American, Asian, and Asian American postpartum care
- To highlight the rewards and challenges of postpartum care
- To illustrate these aspects through the eyes, stories, and experiences of patients, their families, and their caregivers
If you, your family, or people in your network have stories or connections to share about the above topics, please let us know! This is a special opportunity to work with a documentary film-making team and help spread education and awareness on topics related to Asian health.
Gift for Volunteers
To show our appreciation for your contribution, volunteers who are successfully admitted by Stanford CARE to appear on the film will receive a FREE set of Li Natural Personalized Postpartum Recuperation Herbal Package, worth $559, which includes 4-stage of personalized herbal supplements, personalized dietary menu recommendation, and a private consultation session with Dr. Qiangwei Li.
